Printing Machine Price List India 2026: Flex, UV, Eco Solvent, DTF & More banner

Updated: October 2026

Direct answer: every printing question is a cell in one table: the material rows against the method columns. This page is that table – the complete master compatibility chart for Indian print shops, listing which of the nine mainstream methods (DTF, sublimation, UV DTF, UV flatbed, DTG, screen, HTV, laser, solvent/eco-solvent) actually works on each material, plus the direct deep-dive guide for every combination that matters. Bookmark it, share it, and never let a wrong-method machine slip into a quotation again.

How to Use This Chart (in 60 Seconds)

  • Start at the material row, not at the machine – the item a customer hands you decides the column.
  • Check the never-works column first – it saves you the demo-sample humiliation cycle.
  • Open the deep guide for settings, costs and honest limits for that exact combination.
  • Cross-check colour: dark surfaces require white-carrying methods – the full rule lives in White Ink Explained.
  • Durability decisions for garments route through the The 50-Wash Durability Test protocol – wash 50 times yourself before believing any brochure.

The Four Method Families in One Paragraph Each

Fabric family – DTF, DTG, screen and HTV move designs onto cloth; pick via the Cotton vs Polyester Method Guide cloth matrix and the DTF vs DTG vs Screen vs Vinyl. Sublimation family – the coated-blank science covered in What Is Sublimation Printing? and The Coated-Blank Rule; unbeatable per-unit economics on its turf. UV family – flatbed for flat volume, What Is UV DTF Printing? for peel-and-stick on anything hard; the family’s overall split decodes in DTF vs Sublimation vs UV vs UV DTF. Large-format family – solvent, eco-solvent and UV roll machines for banners, vinyl and signage; an entire separate series on this site deals with their pricing.

Our Verdict

This chart is the answer to the single most repeated question in Indian printing – “bhai ye item kis machine se print hoga?” – and every row here links to a full honest guide so the answer never stays a one-liner. Start with the item, confirm the colour rule, respect the never-works column, and the correct machine names itself. When order books span rows (they always do), bring the list to us on the contact page: we will stack ONE smallest machine set that covers your rows – priced from the DTF printer price guide, sublimation machine price guide and UV printer price guide, with the printing business growth report shaping the business case behind it.

FAQs – What Prints on What? Master Chart

Is there one machine that prints on everything?

No – and any seller claiming one is selling confusion. The closest single machines are DTF (widest fabric coverage) and UV DTF (widest hard-item coverage). Fabric plus hard items need at least one machine from each family – a combination most of India’s profitable counters run daily: garment line plus hard-item line, often sharing one heat press.

What machine prints on both mugs and t-shirts?

A 5-in-1 heat press plus a sublimation printer covers sublimation mugs AND white polyester tees; add a DTF printer and the same press transfers cotton and dark tees too. Sublimation cannot print ordinary uncoated mugs regardless of press type – those need UV DTF decals. The combo question is answered fully in our mug and heat-press guides.

Which printing method has the widest material coverage?

UV DTF decals cover the widest SURFACE list – plastic, metal, glass, wood, acrylic, ceramic, coated goods, curved shapes – but zero fabric. DTF covers the widest FABRIC list – cotton, poly, blends, darks, fleece, canvas. Together they cover nearly every retail print order an Indian town generates (est.).

What can sublimation NOT print on?

Cotton in any percentage, dark-coloured anything, and every uncoated hard surface: normal mugs, raw glass, raw metal, plain wood, uncoated ceramic. Sublimation’s world is white/light polyester plus poly-coated blanks – inside it, economics are unbeatable; outside it, chemistry votes no.

How do I know which blanks are coated for sublimation?

Buy explicitly-labelled sublimation-grade blanks from blunt-reputation suppliers; coated stock shows even deep gloss, resists a thumbnail scratch and prints a dense red-black test box without pinholes. Price too low usually means coating too thin. Our blanks guide covers grades, wholesale bands and batch testing discipline.

What is the cheapest first machine that still prints profitably? (est.)

A cutting-plotter-plus-heat-press HTV setup around Rs 25,000-60,000 (est.) starts real same-week revenue on names, numbers and logo tees. Sublimation home lines begin similarly low for mugs and jerseys. Both press investments carry forward into DTF upgrades later, so early money never goes to scrap.
